      6th Family Accommodation Forum 2021

       

      Organized by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Family Tourism Association November 12 and 13, 2021 will be held at the Pazin Memorial Home 6th National "Family Accommodation Forum".

      What is a Family Accommodation Forum?

      National Family accommodation forum (FOS) is the only national gathering of providers of catering services in the household (renters) from all over Croatia, which discusses current topics and offers educational content and networking with providers of products and services for family accommodation.

      FOS brings together the owners of catering services in rooms, apartments, holiday homes and camps, as well as in boarding houses and rural households, and is interesting for all micro and small entrepreneurs who follow current changes and trends in family accommodation.

      It was first held in 2014 in Opatija.

      Why use Holiday and what are the benefits?

       

      Why use Holiday and what are the benefits?

      As some of you may know, myRent has a new full connection to Hollywood. Holidu is a search engine for renting accommodation units, which means that it collects and displays accommodation units from different OTA channels (Booking.com, Airbnb, Homeaway ..). Since everyone uses at least one of the channels from which Holida collects units, they are then automatically displayed on Holid as well. And here we come to the question that everyone is asking. "What's the difference if I advertise my accommodation units on the Holiday directly, because I'm already there anyway?"
      To answer this question, we spoke with Francesco Vanni, key account manager at Holiday.
      Since Holidu collects all accommodation units from many web agencies (Booking.com, VRBO, Expedia, etc.), clients often wonder what is the purpose of connecting with Holidu because they are probably already advertised with you?
      1. Better conditions: partners can often see their accommodation units on the Holiday through other channels such as Booking.com or Expedia. While in our country the commission is 15%, in Booking.com and Expedia it can increase up to 20-22%. Even if we assume that their commission is 15%, unlike them, we will not ask for any additional costs to be better ranked on the page, because the ranking is based on the quality of the connection. On Booking.com, if you want to appear on the first page, you usually have to pay something like a premium subscription. Nothing like that exists on Holiday. If you have good ad quality (photos, descriptions, content, etc.), you'll be better listed.
      2. Better support: you have at your disposal an account manager who will take care of your units and liaise with us. We give great value to the relationship with our partners and we will give them advice and insights on market trends in terms of guest preferences, prices and trends.
      3Higher conversion rate: Enabling unit reservations directly on the Holiday will increase the chance of booking as the one-click conversion rate is higher than if the user is first redirected to another website.
      4Differentiation: It is always better to have different sources of reservations and not depend on the same 2-3 sales channels. Once one of them changes the terms, you could get a strong negative impact on your bookings. So, the advice is to try as many channels as possible.
