OTA's – we cannot live with them, but we cannot live without them

There are some OTA’s worth mentioning here (we promise, they didn’t pay us to promote them in this e-mail… unfortunately). When it comes to commission fees, we’d say „same thing – different packaging“. Percentages they take are nearly the same, only the question remains, who will pay more? Guest, agency, or our nephew Ronald we mentioned before… someone is always deeper down the rabbit hole, but we simply have to list our properties on their platforms to increase the number of bookings.

Booking.com, Airbnb, Homeaway and Expedia are OTA’s which generated the most bookings according to our statistics. So, although you could list your properties somewhere else, there is really no need to do it, we bet those 4 will occupy calendar for the whole year. And our software is here to manage all those calendars, guests and bookings for you.

Dignuli smo Dominium! Ne, ne, ne, ne na taj način. Bože, pa ne smatrate nas valjda takvima!

“Dignuli” smo im novi web portal. Izrazito smo ponosni onime što smo uspjeli napraviti za njih, obzirom da smo posebno integrirali tražilicu u portal, preko koje se gostima omogućuje automatsko pretraživanje svega što Dominium trenutno ima u ponudi, a stranica je u potpunosti integrirana s MyRentom, što znači da se svaka promjena na samom portalu ili drugim booking portalima autmatski i istodobno pokazuje na svim stranicama i portalima diljem Interneta! U stranicu je također integrirana EasyBooker platforma, koja osigurava da se potencijalni klijenti i gosti, koji možda nisu toliko naviknuti na okrilje interneta, nebi izgubili u svim mogućim opcijama, nego im osigurava jednostavno sučelje i iskustvo, da se čim prije mogu posvetiti pakiranju za svoje odabrano putovanje!

OVDEDI ME NA STRANICU

Željeli bismo također istaknuti, malo pohvaliti sebe i kolege, a i malo vas nasmijati, jednom kratkom pričicom s početka ovog vikenda, u petak, 31.5. Naime, unutar sat vremena otkako smo njihov portal pustili na mrežu, Dominium je zaprimio nekoliko direktnih rezervacija prije nego li su oni sami bili svjesni da je portal već u potpunosti u funkciji, pa su, pomalo komično, zvali našu službu za korisnike i zabrinutim tonom na priopćili da imaju problem, a problem je bio što su primili rezervacije. Na naš upit u čemu je tu problem, rekli su ponovno da je problem to što su primili rezervacije, ali da ne znaju kako.

Ovaj primjer također ukazuje na nužnost ovakvih projekata i pothvata kod svih drugih agencija ovakvog tipa.

Svi naši najdraži, čujte i počujte!

Odnedavno smo među svoje partnere-klijente dodali i turističku agenciju Dominium Travel, koja posluje ekskluzivno na području Dubrovačko-neretvanske županije.

MyRent Recognition in Media

Dear all, thanks to your trust, several important business media in Croatia have recognized MyRent’s success as a company. Chief among them, and quite likely the most important one, is “Poslovni Dnevnik,” who have reported the sudden increase in our business, which includes, among other things, more than three thousand new new rental units managed through MyRent. The number may sound unbelievable, but what’s even less believable is the fact that we have concluded last year’s business with a complete total of four thousand units, which means that since the start of the year, MyRent’s family has nearly doubled its numbers in comparison to its total numbers since the company’s inception!

Cimerfraj.hr have also written about MyRent as part of their research into the quality and availability of Croatian Channel Management services, wherein MyRent showed significant advantage in comparison to the competition in the domestic market. This conclusion is quite obvious once the above-mentioned company growth is factored in. Another way of looking at it is that this significant advantage may be the very reason for the above-mentioned company growth.

MyRent Takes Part @ 4th Regional Family Lodging Forum

On Saturday, May 11th, at Hall III of the Faculty for Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija, the 4th Regional Family Lodging Forum of the Primorsko-Goranska County will take place, starting at 10:00 am.

MyRent will, of course, be present in full luster! As part of the event, MyRent CEO Neven Palčec will hold a short presentation on the importance of booking portals today, focusing especially on private renters such as many of our clients. As you all know, an unavoidable part of the presentation will consist of the quality and innovation of the services offered by MyRent, something that you’ve been well acquainted with already. Other topics of great importance to this branch of tourism will not be overlooked, either, and you can find below the full program to the event.

For those who are unfamiliar with the organization, the National Family Lodging Forum (Nacionalni Forum obiteljskog smještaja) is the only Croatian organization of rental service providers on the national level. They deal with current topics in this branch of the tourist business, as well as organize educational and networking seminars. The Forum gathers renters providing rooms, apartments, suites, lodges, and camps, both in city and village households.

The greatest focus of the Forum is still on keeping all of the micro- and small-scale entrepreneurs completely up-to-date with all the current trends in family lodging, such as You!

The 1st Forum gathering was held in 2014, in Opatija, after which the next two equally successful ones were held in 2015 and 2016, in Poreč and Zadar, respectively. They were all organized by the Family Tourism Community of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, founded in 2010. The Community eventually formed its own localized Sections, through which it successfully coordinates and educates renters all over Croatia.
