Less switching between tools. Fewer lost messages and tasks. More context where your team already works.
MyRent is becoming the operational workspace for your team
Over the past few days, we have added and improved a large number of MyRent features that may look like separate updates at first glance. Behind them is one bigger idea: reservations, guest communication, internal tasks, cleaning and property knowledge should not live in five different systems.
This matters especially when a travel agency manages dozens or hundreds of accommodation units and several team members work with guests, reservations and operational tasks at the same time. We are developing MyRent toward one connected operational workflow: team communication, Tasks, WhatsApp, reservations, housekeeping and AI knowledge are increasingly connected around the real context of the guest and accommodation.
Tasks, communication, reservations and operations are increasingly connected in one MyRent workflow.
1. MyRent Tasks — a task is no longer just a note
The new Tasks system is designed as a central operational point for work that needs to be done. A task can be linked to a property, reservation, team member and source communication, so the person receiving it does not have to search later for which guest or property it belongs to.
- My Tasks, Team, Unassigned and Completed views
- search, filters and Overdue / Today / Upcoming grouping
- assignment to a team member and quick complete
- linking a task to a property and reservation
- opening the reservation directly from the task
- remembering the task source: manual, Team Chat or WhatsApp
- clear Open / Completed status with Complete / Reopen actions
In a larger team, the hard part is often not writing down what needs to be done. It is answering a few hours later: who is doing it, for which guest, for which reservation and is it already resolved? Linking the task to the reservation and property keeps that context with the work.
2. Team Chat — internal communication where the work actually happens
Travel agency teams communicate every day about guests, properties, problems and tasks. That is why MyRent now includes Team Chat with direct and group conversations, real-time messages, @mentions, reply and forward actions, reactions and image sharing.
The most important connection to operational work is simple: a message can become a Task. If a conversation results in concrete work, a task can be created from the message and MyRent keeps the connection between the task and the original conversation. The conversation becomes the start of a workflow instead of the place where information disappears.
3. WhatsApp becomes a true operational inbox
With only a few messages a day, almost any inbox looks simple. With dozens or hundreds of conversations, the situation is completely different. That is why we expanded the MyRent WhatsApp module toward a real operational inbox that keeps business context next to the conversation.
- guest name and email with linked reservation
- contact note
- assigned team member
- Needs reply, Important and Todo labels
- search by guest name or phone number
- filters for conversations that require action
- AJAX search without reloading the page
- focus on the latest conversations and improved media behaviour
The bigger challenge than sending a WhatsApp message is knowing, among hundreds of conversations, which guest is still waiting for a reply, who has taken ownership and which reservation the communication belongs to. This is especially important for agencies with a high volume of arrivals and guest communication.
4. MyRent in real time — see who is working on a reservation
Two team members can open the same reservation at the same time. One person is changing data while another is calling the guest. MyRent can now show in real time when another team member is active on the same reservation.
We also connected Guest Portal presence, so a team member can see when the guest is currently active on their reservation portal. This provides more context before the next action: less duplicate work, fewer parallel edits and better coordination for larger operational teams.
Real-time presence gives the team context before the next action on a reservation.
5. Housekeeping is now closer to the reservation
Housekeeping is one of the processes where every extra switch between screens creates unnecessary work. We therefore connected cleaning more closely with reservations. Linked cleanings can now be seen on the reservation, details of a specific cleaning can be opened, and a new cleaning can be added without going to a separate screen.
- cleanings visible directly on the reservation
- Add cleaning inside the reservation workflow
- date, time, cleaner and note selection
- cleaning indicator in the reservation calendar
- cleaner days off and unavailability
- AJAX add and refresh for days off
- more compact Cleaning Planning with a multi-day view
Together, this creates one housekeeping workflow: reservation → cleaning → available cleaner → schedule → calendar. Availability information no longer has to remain in a separate table, note or message.
Reservation, cleaning, cleaner availability and calendar stay connected.
6. AI that knows your property, not just general rules
An AI answer is only as good as the information behind it. Guests do not only ask when check-in starts. They may ask where to park, what the Wi-Fi password is, how to enter the villa, or whether the same rule applies to different accommodation units.
We expanded the AI Knowledge layer so MyRent can keep property-level and unit-level knowledge separately: check-in, check-out, access, parking, Wi-Fi, house rules and other operational information. This creates the foundation for AI answers tied to the actual accommodation instead of generic replies.
AI answers are more valuable when they use the real context of the specific property and accommodation unit.
One AI knowledge layer for multiple communication channels
Chatbot, Guest AI and WhatsApp AI increasingly use a shared knowledge system instead of separate disconnected sources. The Train AI process has visible status and progress, so users can follow synchronization and training stages instead of watching a screen without knowing whether anything is happening in the background.
The direction is clear: AI should not be a separate chatbot added next to a PMS. It should use the same context MyRent already knows about the property, reservation and guest.
Many new features. One shared idea.
Tasks, Team Chat, WhatsApp, real-time presence, housekeeping and AI may look like different modules. The goal is the same: less operational chaos.
- a message that requires action can become a Task
- the Task stays linked to the reservation and property
- the team can see when a colleague is already working on a reservation
- WhatsApp conversations can be searched, labelled and assigned
- housekeeping stays in the context of the reservation and cleaner availability
- AI uses structured knowledge of the specific property and unit
We are increasingly developing MyRent as a connected workspace for travel agencies — from communication and tasks to reservations, housekeeping and AI.
Want to see the new MyRent in action?
The best way to show these changes is not a list of features, but a real workflow: message → Task → reservation → guest → cleaning → AI answer.
